Our workplace is the portual and logistic system of Friuli Venezia Giulia, which consists of 3 trade ports (Trieste, Monfalcone and Porto Nogaro) combined with a retroportual system constituted by 5 intermodal centres (Trieste-Fernetti; Trieste-Prosecco; Gorizia-S.Andrea; Cervignano; Pordenone-Centro Ingrosso).
The international port of Trieste, first port in Italy for tons handled, door for central Europe, with natural sea floors of 18 metres, 12.128 metres of docks, most of them are connected to the railway network and served by warehouses or sheds. Trieste port is efficiently connected to the international highway and railway network and is equipped to better serve every kind of ship (full containers, ro/ro and ferries, tankers, multipurpose, conventional, bulk cement, bulk grains, passengers) and goods (coffee in bags, vehicles and trucks, ferrous and non-ferrous metals, project cargo, timber,logs, forest products, cement, grain, chemicals, dangerous goods, etc.).
Intermodal centres of Fernetti and Prosecco are the optimal structures for consolidation, warehousing and goods distribution activities in arrival to or departure from Trieste port. Monfalcone port, with draught of 11 meters and 1.900 meters of docks, is suitable to the mooring of conventional ships and ro/ro or multipurpose ships. It is specialized in automobiles, steel and forest products, project cargo and dry bulks traffics. The fluvial port of Porto Nogaro has a draught of 6,5 meters and 1.260 meters of docks, and is placed at the centre of the productive heart of Friuli Venezia Giulia.
